Cindy Sharp

I found out today that a very dear friend's battle with cancer is over and she is now in the presence of God. That makes me happy. My sadness is selfish. I will miss her. Cindy came into my life almost 7 years ago when Galen died. She helped guide me through mountains of paperwork and was a constant encouragement to me. The last time I saw her was in early February and she was fighting the cancer. As usual she pointed our conversations to God's goodness in our lives. As I was leaving she again told me how proud she was to be my friend. The last thing she told me was how she thought I looked beautiful and that she couldn't wait to dance at my wedding. I laughed and told her we would have to find me a Christian man first. She laughed and said, "Oh be patient, he is out there and God is preparing you for each other."
I always left her feeling better about myself. I will miss her...

As usual with me a song pops into my mind now when I think of her. So here are the words...
Cindy flew to Jesus today!

Untitled Hymn (Come to Jesus)

Weak and wounded sinner
Lost and left to die
O, raise your head, for love is passing by
Come to Jesus
Come to Jesus
Come to Jesus and live!

Now your burden's lifted
And carried far away
And precious blood has washed away the stain, so
Sing to Jesus
Sing to Jesus
Sing to Jesus and live!

And like a newborn baby
Don't be afraid to crawl
And remember when you walk
Sometimes we fall...so
Fall on Jesus
Fall on Jesus
Fall on Jesus and live!

Sometimes the way is lonely
And steep and filled with pain
So if your sky is dark and pours the rain, then
Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus and live!

O, and when the love spills over
And music fills the night
And when you can't contain your joy inside, then
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus and live!

And with your final heartbeat
Kiss the world goodbye
Then go in peace, and laugh on Glory's side, and
Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus and live!

So sorry to hear about Cindy. I don't think I knew she had cancer. She was not very old was she? As you know, I love this song. It always touches me when I hear it.
